J's Chimes: Cancelations Galore...

With the disaster that struck Japan, it seems like many things will inevitably be canceled from this month on. From products to television programmes that we all loved very much, it is only now that we appreciate them and take it for granted. Some examples are as shown below:

Animes

Yup, it's nerve wrecking to say this but this season's animes are mostly put on hold now due to the disaster. Even the infamous QB is put on hold in tormenting the magical girls...

Food Products

Mad rush for Japanese products can be seen in Japan to stockpile on food supply. Not to mention other neighboring countries like Hong Kong and China are all in a frenzy to purchase all available Japanese products now in bulks. The situation looks pretty dire... Many countries are dependent on Japan for their products so with the shortage of these, high chances that food prices would increase dramatically...

Miscellaneous Products

From Eroge to Mangas, appliances and electronics, seems like they will all be canceled or postponed to a later launch date and such. With such, imports and exports are grim and low... So we might probably have to wait a while for these to return...

Events and Conventions

Even Ishihara's approval for a Tokyo Anime Fair 2011 is inevitably canceled due to this situation. It is without fail that the Anime Contents Expo will see the same fate as TAF2011... Not to mention the other upcoming festivals like cosplays, animes and manga conventions...

Other

It is however unclear that if the Japan Manga Ban would still take effect in a few months time after this unfortunate incident. Hopefully the disaster would be taken highest priority instead of something like this that can help contribute to the economic. Other cancellations would also include flights to Japan. For now, let's hope for the best that Japan could stand up once again once this situation is over...

J's Chimes: Custom Maid 3D Awes...

Apart from Illusion Soft, Eroge company KISS finally debuts a 3D eroge known as Custom Maid 3D. Somehow or rather, it looks similar to the title 3D Custom Girl but with additional modes as seen in the videos below. Trying to get my hands on it for a better review, other than that the graphics are somewhat astounding. What's even better is that you could customise just about anything you'd want. Perhaps a quick video would show you more...

Seems like the characters are completely customizable with this new game, eroges can't get any better than this... Remembered them being pixels and in 2D in the past but things sure change over the years...

My personal favorite would be the dance scene wich is so much like the Idolmaster style kinda game. All eyes will be on this game pretty soon because of it as Idolmaster fans will soon take notice of it soon enough. Gathering more info about this game so stay tune for more...

J's Chimes: Ads To Touch For...

Advertisement boards are now made to touch with a seemingly eye-catching part for people to grope and laugh out loud. Guess its a promotion of a new eroge game nonetheless which explains the protruding part...

Attention getting it is, it's kinda creative in a way as we normally wouldn't thought of something like this for an ad. However due to the fact that it is placed in a seemingly dangerous area where all eyes are watching you groping a signboard...

Putting such at the electronic sensors isn't such a good idea too since people would be walking through the entrance and would be really strange to be caught groping such items in public... perhaps you should navigate to somewhere else safer?

J's Chimes: What Do You See?

Made from 900 eroge artworks, someone indeed has lots of time with him to put them all together to from yet another explicit picture. Though it's a bit blurry, but its outlines would catch your attention. And just to be sure, you could click on the picture above for a larger view so that you may see what it's made of. Well, sometimes it doesn't hurt to have a collection of eroges... That is if you have uses for them for times such as this...

J's Chimes: Koe De Oshigoto!

And so with the end of AFA, it's back to normal posts on J's Chimes. This time we look into a brand new anime that was aired only recently and had certainly got people talking. Yup, Koe De Oshigoto is finally here and this anime zooms into the eroge industry where voice actors are to project their most embarrassing voices for climaxing scenes for the characters. This anime is something new and refreshing in a sense that voice acting for such is really not an easy feat...

(Before continuing, please take note that this anime is labelled as ecchi and contains scenes not suitable for the young. And so if you are offended in any way, please do not read this post. However, this anime is not classified as hentai as they are of a different level instead.)

Am pretty sure 90& of the time anime fans do venture into other genres of anime and ecchi is one of them. This is quite common in Japanese anime because of their culture. Ask anyone about what eroge is and normally they do not understand what it is or that they would give you a weird stare if they know it. In Koe De Oshigoto, the elder sister of the female protagonist works in a eroge company specialises in recordings and thus ecchi-ness is expected...

If you caught your sister playing an eroge... Then perhaps it's really quite an eye opener... Especially so when the female protagonist caught her sister playing one, only to realise in future that she actually works for an eroge company when invited to become a voice actress for a game...

The female protagonist gets sucked into the world of eroge and began seeing something explicit... (And it's a school too...) And of course, the dolphin is replaced with a spectrum of rainbow light as a mosaic or sorts...

Perhaps to make it more 'children-friendly', explicit scenes are not with characters being naked while doing it... though it is so, it doesn't mask the erotic scene this one is...

I love how the creativeness of Japanese censorship and this NG design certainly keeps you thinking deeply... Perhaps they would really uncensored it in the DVD version?

And so how do you understand more about eroges? Play them of course... The female protagonist is later encourage to play one by her sister. Eroge is a very big market in the Japanese industry and sometimes in other countries too... So don't think eroges are bad. They can be as popular as games like Gears Of War to epic games like Call of Duty.

The female protagonist tries to be in sync with the characters of the game and feel as though she's the one 'doing it'. Only then will her emotions be fully portrayed. It certainly isn't easy to be a voice actor for normal anime... But an eroge seems much worse off...

And how do you learn to make 'sucking' noises for eroges? Try practicing with your finger or someone elses... Keep your saliva flowing...

Perhaps a little too much... Oh no, she's messing up the scripts... Sometimes I also do wonder how these voice actors must have felt doing this... How in the world do you train to produce such erotic sounds without actually doing it and stuff? Some 'special' training?

The feeling of ecstasy right after a climax of some sorts... Guess she overdo it quite a bit...

And again another illusion scene as seen by the female protagonist... This time, late in the evening in the school library. A very common location in most eroges you would see which tells a story in a school life setting...

Perhaps voice recordings are a little too much to bear even if you are the sound controllers or producers of this recording... Imagine having to hear such voices in real time...

Koe De Oshigoto! is a nice anime which is comedic and entertaining in a different perspective. Much similar to animes like Doujin Works where sexual themes are seen in another light. We really should salute up to these people who voice over such games as it really isn't easy to do such jobs and not be embarrass about it...

J's Chimes: Adult Arcade Games

I do not know if this is for real but it would be surprisingly shocking to see it appearing in a video game center if it does. Firstly there really aren't any privacy panels for the players and to play the game requires the third leg of any males you see around in the streets... (Would you mind sharing the same 'controller' that everyone's been using for the game without some protection whatsoever...?) Though it could be thought of as weird and hilarious, there are already such game controllers that had already existed in Japan that will be put to practical use. Well... some people just wants the action instead of clicking away in front of a monitor screen...

And to the delights of all Sexy Beach fans, the 4th series is announced and to be launch on the 29th October this year. Titled Sexy Beach Zero, this new game promises more options and gameplay. So far all we do know is that the basics are still available in the game for example the lotion scene to playing games and such. With little info provided, we just have to wait for the day to find out more about it then... Anyway here's a preview video of the upcoming game many are talking about.

J's Chimes:The Evolution Of Eroge

Eroge has evolved throughout the years and has become another popular genre of games that tend to awe people alike. And with the introduction of 3D graphics, eroge has evolve even further until as we know it today and an example of such a high end eroge is the famous Real Kanojo create by the Illusion Soft company. However, classic eroge games are just as nice as it does has its own uniqueness and art form in the past...

Retro eroges are much more pixelated as to compared with eroges today because of its resolution and processing power of older computers. However such art has captured many audiences around because of their nice storyline or artwork that keeps them from coming back for more and thus the eroge boom as you've seen till today in Japan.

I remembered the time when eroges are saved on diskettes and sold in the market long ago and the game graphics are of 8 - 16 bit, resulting in serious pixel artwork such as this. If you still have your classic Nintendo game console, it'll be something like this... Amazingly at that time it was considered very good for an eroge to be like this...

Eroges are normally ADV/AVG (Adventure games) at that time with lots of visual novels and selecting different options and routes to end the storyline. However, the genres broaden up to many different types including RPG, SLG, simulation, etc. Some examples of RPG games are Tears To Tiara, SLG games include Tsuma Shibori and the common simulation games for example Sexy Beach to Artificial Girl.

The technology in eroges advances dramatically with better computers and graphics. And has eventually evolved to what we would see till this date. Eroge has fast becoming a big industry in the gaming sector because of its popularity. However, such games are sold for Japan use only but has eventually reach many countries worldwide because of their popularity... And soon it brought about critics about this types of games being sold in the market. The very case of Rapelay is one example of a game that is brought under scrutiny because of its immoral content that said to harm people's conscious with themes that are considered taboo and ostracize by other countries...

The eroge industry continues to boom as we currently would see today. With more 3D games and high resolution ADV games coming up, its no wonder fans keep coming back for more of such stuff... Seriously, I too believe eroges are becoming better... I especially like Alicesoft, Eushully and Softhouse Chara games because of their high replayability as they concentrated more on SLG, RPG style kinda games. Some popular ones include Rance, Battle Goddess and Ou Zoku. But when it comes to 3D games, Illusion Soft takes the biggest vote among the others. What lies ahead with the eroge industry is still rather vague but with the advancement of motion sensors, to cameras and touch screen monitors and sensor mats like the Xbox360, a new era of eroge playability will soon be available for fans out there to experience the power of such games in future...

J's Chimes: Schoolmate 2

Eroge company Illusion continues to awe fans with the second installation of the series with Schoolmate 2. With the recent game Real Kanojo released a few months back, it seems that they are going back to basics and now concentrating on what they're good at... You'd theoretically see the major improvements in graphics and detail wise as to compared with its other predecessors previously launched.

What surprises me is the release date... It will be release so very soon, 11 days and counting so only then will we be able to find out how exactly the game fends and works... But judging from the pictures and previews, one would say that it's amazing. Once again, Illusion impresses each time with its quality and such... Am not surprised if this would be the next big hit there after...

Day 3 In The Army: Virtual Touch...

The ever so popular game everyone was talking about back then was an eroge titled Tech48 where players can use their webcam to move the view in the game with their heads. Now, Teatime has done it again and created a new eroge title Mousousei Kasou Jinkaku Shougai that allows you to use your hands to touch the characters in game... Released on 28 May 2010, this new game lets players to virtually control the hand movement and touch various desirable spots or interact with the characters....

Nonetheless, such awes many fans to have a go at such games once it's out. Having said, it'd probably requires a high performance computer for such a game to work well just as the previous game Real Kanojo by illusion.

here's a little something to oogle about about the powers of technology in a way it benefits humankind in one way or another. 9 more days to find out more about this game once its released...

J's Chime: They Are All Connected To Anime...

Some people just don't understand the importance of Japanese anime in our lifestyle so I thought that a little 'Education' is necessary for you to know why. Of course you do know how anime begun and stuff but do you really know that they actually connected to all industries around? Think harder and you will get the gist of it. They are as per follows:

Anime inspires mangas & doujinshi and vice versa:
Till date, most mangas are now being made into anime because of their popularity. Some examples are Bleach to Naruto. Some animes also become manga and such would be Suzumiya Haruhi to Code Geass. Sometimes the storyline deviates from each other or that the style of art is different.

Anime comes from Eroge and vice versa:
Same as mangas, some adult games do become anime (Other genre includes ecchi and hentai) and vice versa. Some examples are ToHeart, Comic Party and School Days. Surprisingly, Eroges seem have better storyline in some cases. Thus its inevitable that people who loved anime will definitely get to know Hentai too. Of course there are still Eroges that came out as a decent anime like Yoake Mae Yori Ruriiro Na, Izumo or Utawarerumono instead of making it into a H anime.

Anime creates Artwork, Fanbooks, Fanarts and vice versa:
A good example would be Queen's Blade in which the artwork are kinda popular that it becomes an anime a few seasons back. Anime also brings market to the art industry which also brought about making characters for games, movies, etc. An example of such Artist is Tony Taka who drew up characters for Shining Tears, games and anime.

Anime helps develop games and vice versa:
A nice example would be the Suzumiya Haruhi game on PSP and an example of games becoming anime would be Tales of Symphonia, Tales of Vesperia, etc. In fact, games are made to look like anime characters and you could name many though in the market.

Anime releases movies and vice versa:
Anime creates movies in both live action, animation and 3D. Examples of live action includes Death Note, Animations as in Summer Wars and 3D animations like Final Fantasy The Spirits Within. In fact there are more of such movies and popular ones like Death Note live action has been watch by many people whom includes those who don't like anime. But the thing is, it originates FROM anime, so why are you complaining?

Anime brings about products into industry and vice versa:
With anime's popularity comes about toys for kids, daily necessities like food to tissues or plates etc, stickers, cups, straps, wallets, clothes, appliances, electronics and many many more stuff in the market which in turn generates profit. If you for once think that anime is useless or should be ban, won't all of these industries be affected and create loss of jobs, revenue, opportunity costs?

Anime becomes hobbies and scale models and vice versa:
With anime, it brings about demands for scale models of favourite characters and stuff. Thus bringing about new hobbies for people. Anime creates new demands like daimakura, card games like Bushiroad's Weiss Schwarz, Gundam modeling, Gashapons, etc.

Anime relates to Cosplay and vice versa:
Without animes, there won't be cosplay and without cosplay, there won't be animes. Similarly a new industry in regards to cosplay for example fashion, makeup, wigs, clothing stores would be affected if not for anime which inspires people to dress as their favourite character. With that there won't be conventions and such around.

Anime spurs conventions, competitions, events and vice versa:
Would there be comicon, comiket, AFA, Coscon, Cosfest, EOY and such happening around the world if anime does not exists? Won't there be a bit less entertainment for the general public if anime wasn't around? Think again....

Anime composed Songs & Music and vice versa:
So you've heard many songs in Japanese? Out of the few you've listened, there would bound to be one that's from an anime series. So you say that anime songs are bad... Are you saying that the idols who sang these are bad too? Take note that some of these anime song are sung by popular bands like Orange Range to Ayumi Hamasaki.

Anime brings about Seiyuus, Voice acting, writers, artists, Idols, etc:
May'n is an example of popular idols in Japan. Voice actings for anime characters, giving a boost to art in a country, etc are what anime could expand into. Without such there wouldn't be voice acting schools, artwork, writers around wouldn't it? Singapore is slowly picking up with animations and stuff in relations to IT so it wouldn't be surprising to see animation films by local people in future.

Anime brings about photography in parts of the world and also tourism in Japan:
Cosplay = Photography and I would be surprise if it wasn't... Such brings about also tourism in Japan by tourists from around the world who loves anime too. What else would also be popular in Japan? Hardly I can't think of any besides it having delicious food and shopping, scenery and culture...

BEST PART ABOUT Anime? Everything is linked together...
Anime = Mangas = Eroge = Artwork = Games = Movies = Cosplay = Models = Conventions = Songs..... Talk about any and it all adds up and links well together. Any other reasons to hate anime now? Take out either one and they will all fall like dominoes. Think deeper and you'd understand what animes really are... Of course there are still more connections in which animes could link to and no doubt it is a part of our daily lives before you know it. Your push toy to your phone strap could very well be from an anime when you least expect it...
